The Australian Government offers a variety of subsidies and programs to help families manage the cost of childcare, with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) being the primary form of support used by most families.
All Ambrose School Age Services are CCS‑approved, including Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care.
For eligible families, CCS helps reduce out of pocket childcare expenses. The amount of subsidy you receive is based on your family income and circumstances, and can cover up to 90% of childcare fees. The subsidy is paid directly to Ambrose, reducing the fees you pay out of pocket.
Here is an example applied to an After School Care session:
The Brown family income is $85,000 so they are eligible for a Child Care Subsidy of 90%. After the Government subsidy, an after school care session will cost the Brown family $5.20 per day, based on a standard after school care session fee of $35.80.
The amount you may receive in Child Care Subsidy (CCS) depends on circumstances such as your family’s income and the number of children in your care.
