Introducing Community Ventures

Community Ventures is a not-for-profit agency created to expand the pastoral outreach of our parish and school communities through services built on Catholic values of Respect, Encouragement and Care. Ambrose is a social enterprise of Community Ventures serving the wider community.

Bishop Vincent Long Van Nguyen

Bishop Vincent Long Van Nguyen OFM Conv was installed as the fourth Bishop of Parramatta on 16 June 2016 at St Patrick’s Cathedral.

He provides pastoral leadership to the Diocese, guiding its communities with commitment to faith, inclusion and service.

Mathematical Thinking and Inquiry

At Ambrose, mathematical thinking is developed through intentional play-based learning, inquiry, investigation and hands-on learning experiences that encourage children to explore, question and problem solve.

The Ambrose Foundations program supports children’s learning about mathematical concepts and applying them in their play and inquiries including STEAM experiences, construction, investigation and collaborative learning.

Language and Literacy

As part of the Catholic school community, Ambrose supports literacy development through a seamless continuum of learning from early childhood into kindergarten and the early years of school.
