When Sangeetha joined Ambrose in 2023 as a Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care trainee, she was looking for more than just a job. She wanted an opportunity to build a meaningful career while continuing her studies and managing her family responsibilities.

Today, Sangeetha is a full-time Certificate III Educator, supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development every day. One of her proudest achievements has been successfully completing her Certificate III qualification while balancing the demands of work, study and family life.

Making Work and Study Work Together

Completing her Certificate III while working as a trainee allowed her to immediately apply her learning in a practical environment, building both her skills and confidence along the way.

With dedicated study time available during work hours, Sangeetha was able to stay on track with her coursework, while living close to her service and having flexible working hours gave her more time to spend with her family. This support enabled her to successfully balance her studies, work responsibilities and family commitments as she progressed in her career.

Through hands-on experience, professional learning opportunities and support from experienced colleagues, Sangeetha has grown both personally and professionally. Working closely with educators, children and families has helped her develop strong communication and teamwork skills, while building her confidence in creating positive relationships within the service community.

She has also continued to strengthen her documentation skills and become more confident in supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development. These experiences have helped her grow as an educator and further develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care and education.

Finding Purpose Every Day

While balancing work, study and family has required commitment and dedication, Sangeetha finds the journey incredibly rewarding.

The relationships she builds with children are what she enjoys most about her role. Watching children learn, grow and gain confidence each day reminds her why she chose a career in early childhood education.
